This amazing Siklish trek takes you on an off-the-beaten-path adventure through the Gurung villages of Ghale Gaun and Parche, providing a cultural experience. The ridge above Siklish village offers stunning views of the Eastern Annapurnas. To enter Parche Village, the trail passes through pleasant villages, terraced fields, alpine pastures, and rhododendron woods. The hike continues through a shady forest of rhododendrons covered in lichen and moss, with wildflowers and orchids blooming on the branches above.
Your trip starts today when you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, you will be received by our ANA representative at the airport. He'll be carrying an ANA board with your name written on it. Then you will be transferred to the hotel. After you check into the hotel, our representative will brief you about your trip. Then free till pick up time for the welcome dinner. In your spare time, you can relax, walk around the hotel, go shopping for necessities, and so on.
We take you for a day tour of cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley after breakfast. The tour will give you a mixed insight of history, culture, art, architecture and spirituality of Kathmandu valley. The sites include; Swoyambhunath aka Monkey Temple: The oldest of all sites in Kathmandu valley, Swoyambhunath is an important Buddhist spiritual site having the history over two thousand years old. This site has gained a popular name as monkey temple as this small forested hill is a good habitat for hundreds of monkeys. The visit there will heighten your spiritual and cultural experience. Patan City including Patan Durbar Square: A tour to medieval city of Patan gives you a great insight about ethnic Newari culture, Budhhist spirituality, religious harmony, art and architecture while you stroll around the charismatic alleys taking you to magnificent local community squares known as Bahal and eventually leading you to an incredible medieval palace square. The monuments and skill of the local artisans displayed on those monuments in the square will stun you with their unbelievable charm. Boudhanath Stupa: The largest of its kind in the world, this magnificent stupa is a very important center of faith for the people following Tibetan Buddhism. This place is nice Circular Square with the stunning stupa in the middle of it which spreads a lot of spiritual vibrations around the atmosphere.
Today you leave Kathmandu for Pokhara by road. We drive through heavily terraced fields and some villages on the way to Pokhara. While driving, you will see the snowy peaks of the Annapurna and Manaslu range. Lunch is served on the way in a local restaurant. Upon arrival in Pokhara you will be transferred to hotel. In the evening you will enjoy walking around the Lake side and ride on the boat at Phewa Lake. Overnight in hotel.
A 30 minute drive to Bijayapur Khola (Bijayapur Army Camp) takes us to the starting point of the trek. The route takes us through rice fields then ascends through Rakhigaon. The views around are mesmerizing. Then the trail gently climbs along a ridge top through the Brahmin and Chhetri villages towards Kalikasthan. Overnight at lodge.
The trail passes through local villages and rice terraces up to Mardi Khola. En route, you cross Bhaise, Nawaldanda to reach Lama Khet, a small village surrounded by lush green hills.
Today the trail remains flat along the river bank until we reach Khilan Gaon. After that, you follow a path which is gently uphill for some distance and then gradually gets steeper. The trail climbs again until we reach Siklis village. This is one of the oldest and largest Gurung villages. Stay overnight at lodge.
The route passes through rhododendron and oak forests on a gradual ascent before leveling out. Overnight at camp.
Again the trail passes through forests of rhododendron before it descends steeply to reach Ghale Gaon. It is a small village which is mainly inhabited by the Gurung and Magar communities. Overnight at lodge.
The trail descends gently to Hyamgja (1070m) where a vehicle awaits to take us back to Pokhara. Overnight in hotel.
After breakfast we drive to Kathmandu. After 6 hours driving we will reach Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
