Overview

Hiking in Dahachowk is one of the most important and ideal places to unwind in nature. It is important not only in terms of nature, but also in terms of religious tradition. After dropping off the vehicle, we began a gentle walk to the top, where we could see a panoramic view of the mountains, including the Ganesh Himal range to the north and the Manaslu range to the south, On clear and sunny days, the entire view of Kathmandu valley as well as Dhading can be seen, including the Lamjung Himal range and Langtang Himalaya range, Gyanchyanpo, Dorjelapka, and others.

The trail leads to Indra Daha (pond) Manakamana temple and Dirgung Kagyud Rinchen Palri monastery, which is a well-known temple steeped in legend. Another attraction along the route is the grave of Kaji Kalu Pande, one of King Prithvi Narayan Shah's martyred, campaigning, and courageous leading figures in Nepal's unification. The trail takes about 3-hours to complete and passes through a unique village with lush green forest and fresh air, as well as encounters with spotted deer, monkeys, and various birds. This moderate hike is appropriate for people of all ages and groups.
