This Section will lead us through far eastern magic Kanchenjunga glacial valley all the way to Kanchenjunga base camp below the impressive north face of the World's third highest peak (8586m). Our approach will take us through remote villages surrounded by cardamom fields and bamboo forests, past the impressive broad shouldered Januu peak that guards the Kanchenjunga range in the south.
Eventually we will head west on a goat herders' trail and cross the remote Nango La followed by a descend through the most mystical rhododendron & pine forest. We then say goodbye to our GHT “full traversers” in the beautiful village Olangchun Gola and trace the roaring Tamor Nadi river southwards.

Itinerary

DAY 01
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. (1300m/4,265ft)

Your trip starts today when you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, you will be received by our ANA representative at the airport. He'll be carrying an ANA board with your name written on it. Then you will be transferred to the hotel. After you check into the hotel, our representative will brief you about your trip. Then free till pick up time for the welcome dinner. In your spare time, you can relax, walk around the hotel, go shopping for necessities, and so on.

DAY 02
Full Day City Excursion and prepare for trekking

We'll start our day with a full day sightseeing in the beautiful Kathmandu Valley. Our own ANA guide will accompany you, who is a specialist on the valley's architecture, culture, and history. The holy, old shrines of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath, all of which are still extremely active, are among the sights and activities of the day. The fine arts and historical architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square reflecting the ancient Nepalese culture are highlighted on our guided tour. Pashupatinath is one of the most famous Shiva shrines in the world, as well as a place where dignitaries can be cremation. From dawn to night, worshipers go to Boudhanath, one of Asia's largest and most beautiful stupas. The Monkey Temple, also known as Swayambhunath, is up on a hill overlooking the city. On return to your hotel you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the popular streets.

DAY 03
Fly Bhadrapur (2420m). Drive To Ilam. Approx. 5hrs Drive.

Drive To Taplejung (1820m). Drive Approx. 4-5hrs.

DAY 05
To Mitlung (1542m), Walk Approx. 4 Hrs.

DAY 06
To Chiruwa (1270m), Walk Approx. 6-7hrs.

DAY 07
To Sukathum (1576m) Walk Approx. 6hrs,

DAY 08
To Amjilosa (2308m) Walk Approx. 6hrs.

DAY 09 - 11
To Gyabla (2730m), Walk Approx. 6hrs, And To Ghunsa (3595m), Walk Approx. 6hrs.

DAY 12
To Kangpachen (4050m), Walk Approx. 6-7hrs.

DAY 13
To Lhonak (4780m), Walk Approx. 6-7hrs

DAY 14
Kanchenjunga Base Camp (4050m), Walk Approx. 7hrs.

DAY 15-16
Return Trek To Ghunsa

DAY 17
To Nango La Camp (4776m), Walk Approx. 5.5hrs

DAY 18-19
Cross Nango La (4776m) To Nasa Kharka (3430m / 7hrs) & Olangchun Gola (3191m/ 8hrs).

DAY 20-22
To River Side Camp (1750m), Chiruwa & Phurumbu (1542m).

DAY 23
Return To Suketar (2420m), Walk Approx. 4hrs.

DAY 24
To Kathmandu By Air (1330m)

Final Departure

You will be transferred to the airport as per your flight schedule. We will pick you up from the hotel three hours prior to your flight time. Trip Extensions after your Langtang Kyanjin Ri TrekkingTrek

■If you have extra days in Nepal after completing theLangtang Kyanjin Ri trekking, we can arrange tours of Kathmandu valley, sightseeing, and a trip to Nagarkot, which is the ideal getaway. Chitwan jungle safari, paragliding, rafting, canyoning, another trek, and much more await you!

Equipment List

Here’s a complete rundown of what to bring if you’re planning a trek to Everest Base Camp or any other tea-house trek in Nepal.  Proper preparation and equipment for the conditions will go a long way to ensuring you have a great trekking experience.  What follows is a pretty comprehensive list and will make sure you are covered in the coldest months of the year. If you have questions on what you might need just ask us and keep in mind that Kathmandu is a great place to buy trekking gear at affordable prices.

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS AND ITEMS

  • Valid passport, 2 extra passport size photos, airline tickets
  • Separate photocopies of passport, visa form (easily obtained at Kathmandu airport), proof of insurance
  • Dollars, pounds or Euros in cash for purchasing Nepalese visa at Kathmandu airport, for paying for restaurants and hotels, for gratuities, snacks, and to purchase your own drinks and gifts
  • Credit cards, Bank/ATM/Cash machine cards for withdrawing funds from cash machines (bring a photocopy of your cards), traveler's checks, etc.
